Nightmare Contractor, Stanley Grant & Savannah Savoy Home Couture LLC,

Chicago contractor. Stanley S. Grant with Savannah Savoy Home Couture LLC, is a company that is based out of Tinley Park, IL.

Hired January 2025. Terminated May 2025.

Stanley placed a lien on my property a few months after he was terminated. He has placed liens on other people’s property. He has listed himself as a general contractor on the lien further falsifying city documents.

Misled the realtor claiming that he was a relative or close family friend to have her communicate directly with him.

Misrepresented himself as a general contractor. His license still remains inactive as of 2023.

Signed permit application as the homeowner and was allowed to do so by Chicago Heights Code enforcement department.

The subcontractors were allowed to work at the property while their licenses were expired in 2024

The plumbing subcontractor’s price was marked up 170%

The electrician subcontractor’s price was marked up 480% and conduit was not even fastened to the joist and just laid across the ceiling.

These markups were provided to my credit card companies after terminating him I submitted a dispute for services not rendered due to the

Canceled my city inspection without my knowledge before the purchase.

Requested all the funds up front.

Took advantage the fact I lived out of state and was distracted with my new child custody situation.

Immediately goes to replace furnace when inspection report suggested to clean it and have a tech inspect. He would not produce the inspection report, a warranty for the furnace, or a bill.

He could not produce 1 bill, warranty or professional report for any of the work.

He plays very friendly and makes wild comments on anyone else involved in the transaction, and slight accusation to have his victim distrust everyone and build trust with him. His wife is a doctor of psychology and list herself as the project manager on the estimates.

They will provide a one-line estimate and tie a contract to it.

He will attempt to do everything by phone or word of mouth to cover his tracks.

Provided false progress reports.

Delayed my project.

Provided the credit card company with a fake electrical inspection pass. Padded scope completed estimates with unauthorized work without a change order, he never did to justify the amount of funds that he received.

I have reason to believe that he has an insider at the chicago heights code enforcement department.

The selling agent works for Caldwell Bank, Trena Hawkins. Stanley claimed there was a no show for the inspection. Trena Hawkins sent an email stating the inspection occurred the day it was scheduled for. The inspector for months would not return my emails or provide an update on the inspection that I had no report for. I contacted Trina Hawkins and asked about the inspection she stated she was not meant to be there and I need to talk to my agent. The inspection report turned up several FOIA request later, only after I included the Illinois Attorney General in on the email expressing the concerns for missing documents. Other omitted documents from the original FOIA requests magically appeared revealing a lot of details confirming foul play.
